The business was launched in xxxx and is a key strategic area of growth for GMS. Merchant Financing products drive revenue growth while providing differentiated value to our merchant base. An industry leading low fixed fee, and a straightforward repayment system in which funds are automatically retained from the merchants AMEX charge volume, have led to great success and buy-in of the solution.The Senior Manager – Regional Sales will report to the Director – US Sales, Merchant Financing. The successful candidate will be an individual contributor responsible for leveraging small merchant relationships to drive new loans within his/her assigned territory. Focus will be on merchants with charge volumes of $1M – $5M. The Senior Manager – Regional Sales will be a responsible and accountable sales executive who operates with a sense of urgency toward driving the sales efforts in his/her territory. The candidate will have ownership for successful identification, development, closing and execution/implementation of new loans to merchants via face-to-face sales. He/she will collaborate closely with our Managed Merchant Client team, a team within GMS that is responsible for developing and broadening relationships with our highest value and highest potential small merchants.Key leadership standards include: passion for winning”, valuing our people, customer focus, results orientation, creativity, and innovation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Build a robust evolving sales pipeline that projects three to four quarters in the future. The individual will utilize customer relationship management tools for tracking and generating all prospects.• Generate newly signed loans, AR, and revenue within our key target verticals, Retail and Restaurant. Investigate and determine viability of opportunities for other industry verticals.• Leverage GMS Small Merchant team relationships to obtain warm merchant introductions. Generate new merchant meetings via cold calls, partnerships and other relationships. Leverage previous industry sales expertise and industry contacts.• Understand industry competitive financing options to leverage key points of differentiation.• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Finance• 4 years of experience in consultative selling of card/ loan/ financing solutions• Proven ability to drive top line results• High degree of business acumen• Demonstrated ability to self-sufficiently turn leads in to sales• Working knowledge on the differences between an ISO, acquirer, issuer, gateways and payment schemes is a plus• Ability to work within a very fast paced team environment• Prior experience selling solutions to merchants a plus• Demonstrated success in pipeline management, strategic account management, and portfolio planning• Strong will to succeed and a positive, tenacious attitude• Strong financial acumen, understanding of business financials and ability to create a financial business case• Ability to deal with clients across all markets/industries• Excellent phone presence and strong verbal communication skills• Strong collaboration, communication, negotiation and presentation skills• Ability to work independently from a virtual office, but must be effective within a team environment• Ability to travel daily within territory, with occasional overnight travel as necessary• Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM solutionsEducation Requirement• BS DegreePreferred Additional• MBA
